1. Dig a shallow groove about two inches deep with either a shovel or nail set.
2. Attach one end of the wire to an “L-clip,” a metal U-shaped device that will allow you to attach it and pull it along with the fence.
3. Scrape away the grass on both sides of your trench, once you have securely attached one end of your wire to the L-clip.
4. Take out a small section of your trench and insert the L-clip into this small gap.
5. Pull on each side if necessary until you feel secure in its position.
6. Finally, push up some soil from where you inserted the clip until it’s fully buried, and then fill in gaps in between clips as well.
